Random rambling

I'm kinda stuck on my writing right now.
As always, my sleeping pattern is completely fucked up, so I'm exhausted, and my tutoring job wears me down.
(I have two students: one's a sweet kid and I love teaching him, but the other one is a horrible brat who never wants to work and spends the entire hour getting on my nerves by every mean he can think of, and frankly, they don't pay me enough for fighting with him to get his damn homework done.)

I'm trying to get myself to write something and resume progressing with everything I've said I'd do.
Right now I'm going back on the prompts left from last November and trying to get something out of them. Specifically, from flo_nelja 's Wardstone Chronicles prompt. It's an awesome prompt! And I've meant to write something in this fandom for a while.
But damn it, Tom is hard to write. Writing him in English when I've only read him in French doesn't help, either. The Wardstone Chronicles' wiki is pretty damn useless as far as quotes or English names. I can't even find the original name for the slimy dead witches things!

Also, I know I'm horribly late with my roleplay, too. I'll try getting back on that later.

About ACTA

So I've had an MSN conversation with koklico about ACTA, and it sounds like ACTA is confusing for a lot of people, not just me. Also, and this pisses me off, most people on the internet only know that ACTA is bad for the internet, when ACTA is much worse.

I am no expert. I still have to go through the horrible chore of reading the text of ACTA. However, from what I know about patents and the way they are used in France, none of the accusations thrown at ACTA sound surprising or impossible. Hopefully ACTA won't be enough to make us all bow before the corporations owning rights over anything and everything, but it will no doubt contribute to a disgusting system.

If someone on my f-list is more informed than me, has anything to teach me about this, please step in and do so. This is a confusing mess, and I'm having a hard time finding sources that justify their accusations.

So, people, this is ACTA.

Say hello to the people, ACTA.
