This week-end I've worked on a comic page. A comic page I've already done the lineart for, but did so in a not-high-enough-for-print resolution, so now I'm redrawing the linart of a huge 150pixels/cm A4 file. One panel after the other, to spare my loyal servant GIMP and my dear, dear laptop.
Anyway. High resolution? IS A FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS.
So I took a break and picked a meme to draw something easy in a lower resolution. Aaaand here we go, inspired by this color meme.

Just in case someone is confused by the word: requests are free pics. I'm offering to draw something you'd like.
Also just in case: since it's a request, not a commission, you will have no ownership over the drawing. You may not sell it or anything. You still have to ask me if you want to use it in a layout or whatever. If I ever want to print it, you will have no say in it. Fair enough ~ ?

You don't need to be on my friend-list to ask.
You can ask for one character or several (up to three or four), for shipping or gen, for a prompt or a specific situation.
You can send many requests and let me pick the one(s) I like. Choice is good.

If you're not sure whether or not I know/like a series or character, feel free to ask!
I have a list of fandoms for fics that is valid for fanart as well - but I know many other mangas that aren't on the list. As for books, I mostly read SFF stuff, so you can try and ask for those too, though your chances are lower. I also recently got into some DCU (through the Young Justice and Under the Red Hood animated stuff), so you can ask for YJ anime-verse, and for the Bat family.

Please don't ask for porn or detailed gore (ANATOMY DD:) or difficult backgrounds. Or mechas.

I reserve the right to refuse any request.
I reserve the right to chose the easy way out and draw you chibis, or not color properly, or whatever.

As I already said, I made myself a dreamwidth account. Importing icons, tags and entries was a piece of cake, and the site is very user-friendly for someone used to LJ.
There was only one problem: the layout. Dreamwidth doesn't have the machine layout I'm using here, and it doesn't have a monochrome layout with a black background. I had to browse through layout journals and communities to find something close, and then it had little flowers.
Flowers.
On my journal.
Obviously, this was unacceptable. Which left me with no choice: I needed a banner.

So I drew one.
And now I have journals with a banner with Vnuchka Yaga and her pets on it. And her meal, for added creepiness ~ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥

I AM SO TOTALLY PROUD OF MYSELF RIGHT NOW. \o/

The bossorkoun is originally a Russian folklore creature. The design of the character's still mine, however.

Found about the bossorkoun on a French website. No idea how it's called in English - I couldn't find a link. Anyway,the French website says:
"Esprit de la montagne qui fait lever le vent et vole avec lui, invisible. Si quelqu'un essaie de l'attraper, il est tué par la force du vent. Le bossorkoun provoque des sécheresses et nuit aux récoltes et au bétail."
"Montain spirit who makes the wind get up and flies with it, invisible. If someone tries tries to catch him, they're killed by the strength of the wind. The bossorkoun causes droughts and damages cattle and harvests."

modocanis' post reminded me that OMG I WAS SUPPOSED TO WRITE/DRAW SOMETHING FOR THE THIRD "SEX IS NOT THE ENEMY" CHALLENGE AND THE DEADLINE WAS TONIGHT 00:00 AND I DIDN'T EVEN START.
So I got myself motivated and I ACTUALLY MANAGED TO FINISH SOMETHING.
Hell yeah. Go, me \o/

Drawned, inked and colored tonight so TOTALLY RUSHED and all. Anime-style, cause it's easier, prettier and I like the anime a THOUSAND TIMES better anyway.
For the third "sex is not the enemy challenge" - I got this pic, and I was all "meh, no porn" uninspired until I thought of those two. (Can't say I ship that many yuri pairings anyway, so.)
