Music meme - day 1
May. 4th, 2011 10:36 pmFinally, I got this stupid machine to work again. It's still allarmingly slow, but hey - it works. And it has internet. One has to have some priorities for that sort of shit.
So, I'm back to LJ (for something else than just roaring about my computer, anyway). And there's this meme on my f-list, that says to post a song from your birth year every day for a week.
It sounded fun! And then I realized I don't listen to old music much. So it was somewhat of a challenge, too! Awesome ~
So, first song:
( Here be a youtube music video ~ )
JOEY I
From album Veuillez rendre l'âme (à qui elle appartient)
("You shall give back the soul (to whom it belongs to)" ; pun with rendre l'âme = lit. to give back the soul = to pass away)
By French band Noir désir
The French lyrics are on the vid comments, aaaand I'm feeling too lazy to translate them right now. Not that it's be useful to anyone anyway.
This album has other more well-known songs, and pretty much all of it is awesome, but I remember myself listening to this particular one again and again and again when I borrowed the album from the multimedia library. So yeah, sharing the favorite, unknown song sounded better.
