Oooooh, some chibi Konoha brats.
Shikamaru and Choji being cute ! CHOUJI BEATING SHIKAMARU. Pffft ~
(And maybe It's all in my head, but- when Ino and Sakura both encourage Sasuke, Sakura's words sound a lot meaner than Ino's.)
Kiba and Shino interacting - as in, they knew each other before becoming teammates?

Oh, and yeah. Naruto.
Bragging bragging bragging blah blah fucking blah, I'm a shounen hero, I can take everything without ever being reasonable or anything.
Seriously, Kishimoto. Where's this lovable 12-year-old, full of doubt and insecurities and still finding the courage to give and fight and trust? All I see is an annoying bratty teenager, and the author bending the story to always make him star and win, even when he should, by any mean, get his ass kicked and his fucking ego deflated.
Stop making me wish Sasuke will die just to scorn your Naruto. It's depressing.

Besides - since when does the ninetails give a flying fuck about Naruto? He should be gleefull to watch the idiot run straight to the wall!

Quite honestly, I really failed to get what the heck was so important about that entire flashback (as in, what the ninetails was trying to refer to) except maybe it was the first time Naruto noticed who the heck Sasuke was (which strikes me as strange. Maybe the schools I went to were just small enough but in Primary you generally at least knew al the kids in your grade.)

Shikamaru, Chouji and Ino were Adorable in this flashback and I'm excited to see more canon proof they knew each other when they were young. Kiba and Shino's interaction kinda confused me too because it sounded like they were friends (once again, I'm sure they knew each other since it was an elementary school...) but they were funny at least....

Well, so did the children of my school, but I grew up in a village, with only one class per level, so I suppose in truly big schools it might be otherwise? The ninja school doesn't seem that big to me, though.
The only explanation that would make sense to me is that the ninja environment and the alliances between clans pushes the children to form tight-knit groups at a very young age, at they don't interact all that much with children outside their group - like girls not really blending in with the boys. But then again, Naruto playing with Kiba, Chouji and Shikamaru doesn't fit in that picture... Maybe it was part of them being unruly children?

It kinda annoys me to see the members of each Konoha eleven team either having been close friends or have hated each other's guts. I mean, it seems rather strange that for some teams the teachers picked children that got along, and for other they just went and picked two guys who obviously couldn't stand each other, even though teams are all about teamwork. Bleh.

In general, I think most places keep primary schools smaller than High school or Univeristy classes, so...I don't know. But, yeah, with a graduation rate of nine kids...even discounting that some kids must not graduate at all...that's skill a school o less than 100 kids. You should probably know everybody then.

Technically the teams were divided by test scores so that every team got a mix (this is a common teaching strategy actually called "heterogeneous grouping)I think its lazy writing for all the teams to have apparently been good friends since they were children. Team Ten it makes sense- their families knew each other and (as we just found out) their clans are tight knit. I didn't think Team Eight had known each other well before becoming a team. But I guess not. Poor Hinata. She had to become the third wheel...

Ah ha, moi aussi Kyûbi m'a déçue. Même la façon dont il est dessiné n'a plus rien de menaçant du tout.
Et oh, Naruto, à la fin du chapitre? "JE SAIS PAS ENCORE CE QUE JE VAIS FAIRE MAIS J'Y VAIS QUAND MÊME". Hn-hn. C'est cool de risquer la vie de ses potes et de plusieurs pays quand on n'a pas de plan. Si encore il savait qu'il était le héros d'un shônen manga et s'il savait que les ninja de Konoha étaient des Mary Sue protégées par la grâce divine il aurait des excuses >_>;

Sinon, la chibi team 10 était toute mignonne ♥
