Let's make this an official statement
Nov. 7th, 2010 10:35 pm...I suck at NaNo. No really, I do.
I suck like 7th day and barely 400 words - and I'm starting to wonder what possessed me when I thought that giving it a try might be a good idea. NaNo definitely doesn't help with my writer block.
Well, at least I don't suck at sucking at NaNo. If you fail, better fail fuckin' epically, eh?
But then again, periods never helped, either, NaNo or not. Seriously, the damn things just kill my inspiration every fucking time. And it was painful, too. How could anyone consider that the symbol of their womanhood is a mystery for me. And a rather scary one, at that.
Oh, and I just found out that NO, I can't "write crap and not worry about editing". How do you guys even do that? Writing crap knowing you're writing crap and happily going on to write more crap? My brains just plain denies me that blessing. I need my words to feel right, otherwise I'll get stuck.
...So yeah, until now, NaNo has been an epic fail. I'm left considering dropping the fic and going back to having fun writing other stuff, rather than procrastinating to avoid what I should be writing for NaNo. I guess I'll wait until next week to see if I can manage a wordcount a little less pathetic.
And now, back to procrastinating!Screw you, guilt. Writing should not be such a chore anyway.
